Jules Producer Director - self-shootingI am a UK based TV and Video Producer/Director. I direct crews and also self-shoot on DV Cameras (Sony DSR570/450, Sony Z1).
.
Recent credits: Miss Naked Beauty 2008 (Maverick/C4), Don’t Tell The Bride (Renegade/BBC3), Pimp My Ride MTV/Five), My Supersweet 16 (MTV), Picture This (Renegade/C4 in asssociation with Flickr), Wags Boutique (Talkback/ITV), and Project Catwalk (Shine/Sky One)
.
I make observational, reality and factual entertainment TV shows and am clueless about drama.
.
As well as running this popular blog I also make Web Videos and self-edit using Final Cut Pro and Avid. Into the whole Web video scene and the issues of distribution/monetization.

I like kit but it won’t get you anywhere without good thinking and creativity. Self-shooting and Directing is a massively demanding job and it’s so much more than what bit of glass is front of your nose!
.
I am planning a community element but wonder if you guys are too busy on Facebook - or are you more MySpace? Please add comments, follow me on Twitter, Friendfeed etc.

Samples of work I have Directed:

Don’t Tell the Bride - a clip uploaded by the BBC to YouTube. I self-shot/Directed this clip on the Sony DSR570 DVCAM.

The clip below features the much publicised, so-called ‘Camp Apprentice’ - ITV’s ‘Wags Boutique’. The Ministry of Burlesque in London uploaded this highlights clip.

If you’re US based and haven’t a clue what a Wag is - they are Wives And Girlfriends of Soccer players!
